Outdoor Watering
- Even-Numbered Addresses: Outdoor watering is permitted on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
- Odd-Numbered Addresses: Outdoor watering is permitted on Thursdays and Sundays.
- Time Restrictions: Watering is allowed only before 10 AM and after 6 PM to minimize evaporation.
Prohibited Activities
- No Watering on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays: These days are designated as no-watering days to reduce overall consumption.
- No Watering During Rainfall: Watering is strictly prohibited during and 24 hours following measurable rainfall.
- No Watering Hardscapes: Avoid watering driveways, sidewalks, streets, and other hard surfaces.
Exceptions
- New Landscaping: Newly installed landscapes can be watered more frequently for a period of 30 days after installation. Please notify the City of Fate for approval.
- Hand Watering: Hand watering with a hose equipped with a shutoff nozzle, drip irrigation, and soaker hoses are allowed any day, but must adhere to the time restrictions.
Enforcement and Penalties
Compliance with these restrictions is mandatory. Non-compliance can result in fines as follows:
- First Violation: Warning notice.
- Second Violation: $50 fine.
- Third and Subsequent Violations: $100 fine per occurrence.
