2024 League City Water Restrictions

Water conservation is a top priority for League City in 2024. To ensure we all do our part, the city has implemented specific water restrictions to help manage and conserve our water resources effectively.

Key Water Restrictions for 2024

  1. Outdoor Watering Schedule:
    • Even-numbered addresses (e.g., 2, 4, 6): Watering is permitted on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
    • Odd-numbered addresses (e.g., 1, 3, 5): Watering is permitted on Wednesdays and Sundays.
    • No outdoor watering is allowed between the hours of 10 AM and 6 PM to minimize evaporation.
  2. Prohibited Activities:
    • No watering of lawns or gardens during rain events.
    • Avoid using water to wash down driveways, sidewalks, and streets.
    • Use of non-recirculating fountains is prohibited.
  3. Permitted Activities:
    • Hand-watering with a hose equipped with a shut-off nozzle.
    • Drip irrigation systems are encouraged.
  4. New Plantings and Sod:
    • New sod and landscaping are exempt from restrictions for 30 days following installation. However, residents must notify the city to receive this exemption.
  5. Swimming Pools:
    • Filling of swimming pools is allowed but should be done during the permitted watering days and within the acceptable hours.

Compliance and Enforcement

League City officials will actively monitor compliance with these restrictions. Fines may be issued for violations, so it’s essential to adhere to the guidelines.
